Why "Cornerstone"

A cornerstone is the first stone set in a foundation — every other piece of the structure squares itself off that one reference point. Owner Robert Martinez picked the name because that's how he thinks a roofing job should work: get the fundamentals right — the tear-off, the deck, the flashing, the underlayment — and everything on top of it holds up the way it's supposed to. A roof isn't a purchase most homeowners make more than once or twice in a house, and it deserves a company that's still around, and still answering the phone, years after the invoice is paid.

That means we don't chase every lead across the Metroplex. We focus on Oak Cliff and the Dallas neighborhoods we actually know — the older housing stock in Kessler Park and Winnetka Heights, the mixed residential-commercial blocks around the Bishop Arts District, and the more modest homes toward Cockrell Hill — and the way North Texas weather treats each of them a little differently.

How We Work

Every project starts with an honest inspection, not a sales pitch. If a repair will genuinely solve the problem, we'll say so — we're not incentivized to sell a full replacement when it isn't needed. If a roof really is past its useful life, we'll explain exactly why, in plain terms, with photos.

Pricing is written and itemized before any work begins. No verbal estimates that turn into a different number on invoice day, and no allowances that quietly balloon once the crew is on-site.
