New Roof Installation, Done Right From the First Nail
Whether it's a new build, a garage conversion, or an addition tying into an existing roofline, installation done correctly the first time saves you the repair calls later.
Where New Installation Comes Up in Oak Cliff
Most of our work is repair or replacement on existing roofs, but new installation is its own distinct job with its own set of details — one that's easy to get wrong if the framing and flashing aren't planned before the first course of shingles goes down.
- Home additions — a new roofline tying into an existing structure is one of the most common places for future leaks if the transition flashing isn't done properly.
- Garage and carport conversions — common across older Oak Cliff lots being remodeled or expanded.
- Porch and patio roof covers — often low-slope sections that need proper drainage planning from day one.
- New single-family construction — full installation working directly from the builder's plans.
Our Installation Process
- Review plans (or the existing roofline for additions) and confirm material and flashing details before ordering.
- Permit pulled through the City of Dallas as part of the job.
- Deck, underlayment, flashing, and material installed to manufacturer spec.
- Final inspection and cleanup, with photos of completed flashing details for your records.

Do you install roofs on new construction, or only replacements?
Both. New-construction and addition roof installation is a distinct job from a tear-off replacement — we frame flashing details around new dormers, additions, and porch roofs from scratch, working directly with builders or homeowners.
Can you match an addition's roof to my existing roof?
In most cases, yes — we'll try to match shingle color and profile to your existing roof so the addition doesn't look bolted on. Exact matches aren't always possible if your original shingle line has been discontinued, and we'll tell you upfront if that's the case.
Do you handle the permit for new roof installation?
Yes, permitting through the City of Dallas is part of the job on new installations — it's included in your written estimate, not an extra line item you have to chase down yourself.
How is new installation priced differently than replacement?
New installation is generally priced by the same per-square material and labor rates as replacement, but without a tear-off or disposal cost — so it's often more cost-effective per square foot than replacing an existing roof.
